SIB-NL Gala meets SIB Leiden Fundraiser
On Friday, April 5th, SIB-Leiden combines two of the biggest SIB events of the year: the annual fundraiser in Leiden and the SIB-NL Gala. Effectively, this means that during the gala, we will raise money in different ways for the cause of this year, Stichting GIL.

About Stichting GIL
Our committee visited the Stichting GIL headquarters to get to know the problems undocumented residents of Leiden encounter when they need to get access to healthcare.
Event information
The Charity
Stichting GIL is a Leiden-based charity, offering essential healthcare to undocumented residents of Leiden since 1985. They make sure that they receive a wide scale of medical treatment when required, including dental care, physiotherapy and access to a general practitioner.

The Gala
The gala will be chic, with attendees in their most beautiful costumes and dresses, with unlimited drinks and a good amount of snacks served. The event will take place on Friday April 5, 2024 at Boommarkt 5A, the home of the A.L.S.V. Quintus student association. As always, this gala has a new theme: Glitter, Glamour, Godfather. Give your outfit a touch of red (for example, with a rose?) and make sure to give yourself that glittery touch.
The Auction
Each year, SIB-Leiden organises a charity event for a local charity. In 2019, 2020 and 2023, this event included a popular auction were workshops, artworks and other items and activities were put on sale by local businesses, as well as our (former) members and disputen. On the gala, a physical auction will take place during the evening, were the total amount of money will be fully offered to the cause of this year, Stichting GIL.
